On Wednesday 3rd December we held our Christmas Luncheon at The RAC Clu in Pall Mall. This event was sponsored by Gallagher Insurance, Addept Group, JMW Solicitors, Ardonaugh Group and Colin Reynolds .

We also held a raffle at the event which raised £2400 so we are grateful for all contributions.

The Phillip Cronin Award is awarded to children from the families we support who have shown great endeavour and /or achievement .

Phillip Cronin was the CEO at the Fund from 1999 until 2014 and wished for this award to be given in his name .

This year’s awards were given to Jake and Abi. Abi sadly lost her father Neale in 2003;Abi is now a police officer in South Wales and whilst training won the Barbara Wilding Award for excellence. Whilst we have tried to persuade her to join the Met or City Police Abi is happy where she is and we wish her all the very best in her policing career.

Jake lost his father Scott when he was 4 years old and his dad told him he would be a Marine , Jake at the age of 18 has successfully completed his training and is now a Marine Commando. This course we know is gruelling and Jake has made everyone proud , including us here at the Fund . Jake was very popular with our Chelsea Pensioner guests. We wish him every success for his future career.
